After two intense weeks of competition in the PGL Arlington Major Dota 2 tournament, we already know all the teams’ total points in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22 rankings.

Some squads took advantage of the last games of the season to improve their place and get a direct invitation for The International 2022, which will take place in October. According to this, the final list of invitees for Valve’s biggest stage event has been finally confirmed.

PSG.LGD, OG, Team Spirit, Beastcoast, and Team Aster are the top-ranked teams among those 12 invited that have an opportunity to play at the event.

The remaining spots are taken by Thunder Awaken, BOOM Esports, TSM, Tundra Esports, Gaimin Gladiators, and Evil Geniuses.

As such, this year’s Dota 2 largest event seems to be very exciting.

TI 11 is expected to be held in Singapore and played at Suntec Indoor Stadium. You will have streams of all the matches broadcasted by such platforms as YouTube or Twitch, as well as bets offered by Dota2-Bet to engage with the contest.

However, with more than two months before the show begins, let’s look more closely at the top 5 Dota 2 teams that you will be able to see at The International 2022 among its participants.

PSG.LGD

In October, the Chinese team will have an opportunity to take revenge for the International 2021 loss in the Grand Final against Team Spirit. At the moment, PSG.LGD is a clear favorite for the upcoming largest Valve’s event.

At the moment, the powerhouse is at the top of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22 rankings, having 2240 points. Thus, with a huge point difference, LGD showed an impressive shape of play and deservedly received the TI invite.

OG

The European Dota 2 team is one of the main protagonists in Singapore, especially after shining at ESL One Stockholm 2022 (1st place) and PGL Arlington Major (4th place). They finished the regular season with 1,930 DPC points accumulated.

On top of that, with the results of the DPC Summer Tour, OG had only one loss out of 6 matches played in the regional league play. As a result, The International 2022 will deservedly have Mikhail “Misha” Agatov and his teammates among its participants.

Team Spirit

Team Spirit, the current TI 10 champions, will also be back to defend their title. The Russian team most recently knocked out PSG.LGD of the Grand Final in Arlington, which was considered the biggest favorite of the event.

After being proclaimed champion of the Major, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naydenov and his teammates accumulated 820 DPC points and $200,000 in prizes.

Thus, with a total number of 1,810 DPC points, the CIS giants were one of the twelve teams invited to The International 2022.

Beastcoast

The North American Dota 2 organization had an impressive first half of the 2022 year, proving to be capable of securing top places in international tournaments.

In this regard, Beastcoast was ranked 4th on the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22 standings before the start of PGL Major in Arlington.

With the most recent results and 515 DPC points earned at the last Major, Beastcoast could guarantee their presence at the TI with a total of 1,810 points (the same amount as Team Spirit) gathered throughout the season.

Team Aster

Team Aster took fifth place in the DPC 2021-22 rankings and guaranteed its presence at TI 11. This became possible after defeating the Asian Fnatic team from PGL Arlington Major in the upper bracket of the Quarterfinals.

Thus, with 1610 DPC points secured throughout the season, they can prepare for the upcoming International. Aster is the second Chinese team to qualify for the main Dota 2 eSports event since PGL.LGD had already secured a spot for the tournament.

Regional Qualifiers

Any squad that does not receive a direct invitation after the PGL Arlington Major will have two more options to make it to The International 2022, the first of which is the regular regional qualifier.

Thus, one additional team from each competitive region will be guaranteed a presence at TI11 through qualifiers.

The second and third place squads from those regional qualifiers will be seeded into the Last Chance Qualifier, which will be held right after the regional ones and before the International event.

The top two teams from the LCQ will travel to Singapore to compete in TI 2022, among others.
