Doting mom Drew Barrymore cuddles daughter Olive

She’s a proud and doting mother of two.

And Drew Barrymore was overflowing with joy as she gushed about her daughters Olive, five, and Frankie, three, in two new photos posted to her Instagram account on Sunday.

Calling her children the ‘love of my life’, Drew, 42, insisted the holidays tended to turn her into a ‘big pile of mush.’

‘I never knew I could love so much’: Drew Barrymore was overflowing with pride as she gushed about her daughters Olive, five, and Frankie, three, in two sentimental Instagram photos, posted on Sunday morning

Drew first posted a photo of herself cuddling with her eldest daughter as the girls pressed their foreheads against each other.

‘The love of my life. Olive,’ she gushed in the caption. ‘Sunday. Thanksgiving weekend. I hop everyone had a safe and happy holiday. This is a very special time. And may it bring out the best in all of us.

‘And all the spirit of family and loved ones. I never knew I could love so much. I never knew I would be so lucky one day to be a mom. Thank you to all our many blessings for our family. And we wish them right back to yours.’

In her second photo, Drew held hands with Frankie as they rode on a carousel.

Drew’s caption read: ‘The other love of my life. Frankie. Side by side, holding hands. Best moments. I wish I could freeze them in time. To the old sounds of the carousel. Going round and round. These holidays can make me so nostalgic and just a big pile of mush!’

Drew’s two children are from her four year marriage to Will Kopelman.

They were married from 2012 before their divorce became official in 2016.

Before the holiday, Drew also revealed she would be spending Thanksgiving with her ex as part of a family tradition.

‘We do a whole thing at the house,’ she told People. ‘I always spend it with my daughters, their father, grandparents, [Will’s sister] Jill [Kargman], my sister, the cousins. We have a whole Kopelman-Kargman tradition.’
