This group of daredevils get together to ride huge homemade roller carts downhill at breakneck speeds – just for fun.
Filmed last month in Divinopolis, Brazil, groups of eight men and women can be seen hurtling down the road in their ‘gravity racer’ contraptions.
As spectators watch from the side lines, the carts steer from side to side and skilfully manage to turn corners at speeds of up to 70mph.

Commenting alongside a YouTube video of the event, an organiser said: ‘We meet to ride our roller carts every 15 days.
‘There are calm descents which men, women, and children can enjoy, and more radical descents that are limited to adults only if they so desire.
‘Those runs make the adrenaline run. Just be prepared for some falls as well.’
Gravity racing is very popular in parts of Brazil, where carts are known as ‘carrinhos de rolima’ and have very simple designs.
With no engines, the carts are propelled solely by gravity and can reach speeds of around 70mph.
The video shows two strings of eight skateboard-like carts joint together, as lone racers rush down the hill in more American-style ‘soapboxes’.

The first ever recorded gravity race took place in 1904 near Frankfurt, Germany, which has inspired similar competitive and recreational events across the world.
