The actresses last publicly reunited in 2022 when they appeared on The Today Show to promote the series’ sequel film Downton Abbey: A New Era.

Downton Abbey was an ITV historical drama following the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their domestic servants in the post-Edwardian era.

It was set on the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey between 1912 and 1926, and also starred Maggie Smith. It spawned feature film Downton Abbey in 2019.

Michelle has two upcoming films: American psychological drama Don’t Feed The Children and American thriller film Flight Risk.

She is also due to appear in six-part BBC drama series This Town which tells the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into an explosive and iconic music scene.

Laura’s last acting performance came with the final Downton Abbey film and in the meantime, she has been focused on parenting.

She has been in a relationship with co-star Michael C. Fox since 2014 and the two welcomed a child in 2022.
