Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery dons muddy wellies for dog walk with boyfriend Jasper Waller-Bridge

Michelle Dockery swapped Downton Abbey for a muddy park in West London earlier this week as she headed out for a dog walk with her boyfriend Jasper Waller-Bridge.

The actress, 40, looked worlds away from her character Lady Mary as she headed out in wellies and red beanie. 

Michelle was joined by her partner Jasper, who is the brother of Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge. 

 Michelle wrapped up in a long black coat and joggers and donned a pair of sunglasses to shield her eyes from the sun. 

Jasper was also casually-clad in a blue duffle coat and jeans. The pair appeared relaxed as they strolled through the park with their dog.  

Michelle and Jasper were introduced through mutual friends in 2019 and are now said to be ‘absolutely head over heels’ with one another.

Jasper works for leading talent agency James Grant, whose celebrity clients include Holly Willoughby, Amanda Holden and Ant and Dec. 

One friend said: ‘It was all taken slowly and in a considered manner but they are really enjoying being together.

‘Michelle has been travelling a lot to promote the Downton movie but they have been in constant contact. Their friends and families are very happy for them. It is lovely.’

The actress is understood to be friends with Jasper’s Fleabag star sister Phoebe, 36. 

Michelle’s late fiancé John Dineen, a commercial public relations executive from Cork, passed away in 2016 after a battle with cancer at the age of 34.

In a statement released at the time, the actress thanked the public for their ‘support and kindness’ before adding they ‘kindly request that they are left to grieve in private.’

The couple began dating in September 2013 after being introduced by Michelle’s Downton Abbey co-star Allen Leech.
