Dr Who star Jodie Whittaker films scenes for her new movie with swimsuit-clad Yael Stone in Sydney

British star Jodie Whittaker has arrived in Australia to work on her first role since quitting Doctor Who.

The actress, who made her final appearance in the iconic BBC sci-fi series in October last year, suited up in an all-white ensemble while filming at Malabar ocean pool in Sydney last Thursday.

Her blonde hair was neatly styled with a middle part as she held her nude pair of heels in one hand while standing barefoot by the concrete pool.

Whittaker was joined by her Aussie co-star Yael Stone, who was seen taking a dip in the water in a khaki one-piece swimsuit.

Her short brunette hair was damp and she had a minimal makeup palette.

The Orange Is the New Black star later wrapped a colourful towel around her waist as she and Whittaker appeared to be engaging in a tense conversation for the scene.

Stone later shared a selfie at the popular swimming spot to her Instagram account, with a cheeky caption.

‘Hard at work on new job. Awful location. Terrible people. Rubbish script. Details coming soon,’ she jokingly wrote alongside her photo.
