Drake thinks 58-year-old Mike Tyson is going to beat 27-year-old Jake Paul on Friday night’s Netflix fight card from Arlington, Texas. And he’s so confident, the Canadian rapper is putting $355,000 (£281,440) on that outcome with a chance for a seven-figure return.
Drake posted his bet online, showing he picked Tyson at +185 (2.85), meaning he can win $1,011,750 (£802,116) with his wager – a profit of $656,750 (£520,672).
Of course, Drake isn’t just a reckless gambler. He’s also a paid endorser of the website, Stake, which took his bet on Friday night. In other words: He’s effectively playing with house money.
Drake is famous for misfiring on six- and seven-figure bets, including $1 million wager for Argentina to beat France within 90 minutes at the 2022 World Cup final (Argentina won in extra time). He also dropped $1.2 million on Paul in 2023 when the former YouTuber lost to Tommy Fury.
This year has been a bit better for Drake, who won $425,000 when Alex Poatan beat UFC rival Jamahal Hill on April 13.

Paul is technically favored to win, but that doesn’t mean he’s more popular with gamblers.
Despite being a -205 favorite on FanDuel Friday morning , Paul was picked to win by just 15 percent of the website’s customers, while Tyson received 85 percent of the action.
But while Tyson was picked to win more often, the bulk of the money was on Paul to win. In total, 53 percent of Friday’s handle at FanDuel was bet on Paul as opposed to Tyson’s 47 percent.
Furthermore, FanDuel tells DailyMail.com that a first-round Tyson victory was the most popular round betting pick of the night.
Tyson-Paul has been just as popular at the box office as it has with online sports books.
As revealed by Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) prior to Friday’s heavyweight bout in Arlington, Texas, Tyson – Paul has generated more than $17.8 million at the gate to become boxing’s biggest box-office success in the United States outside of Las Vegas.
What’s more, Tyson-Paul has nearly doubled the previous record in Texas, when Mexico’s Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez defeated Britain’s Billy Joe Saunders at the same venue, AT&T Stadium, in 2021.
