A 63-year-old hotel maid from Miami got the surprise of her life when superstar rapper Drake treated her to a $10,000 shopping spree.
February 6 was a day like any other for Odelie Paret – she cleaned 14 rooms at the luxury Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach in Florida.
But a day earlier, a mysterious woman arranged for Paret – a mother-of-five from Haiti whose modest wage supports her daughter, grandson and family in her home country – to have a massage at the hotel’s spa and a lobster dinner at a steakhouse.

A car was waiting for her and a friend after dinner, the Miami Herald reports, and she was taken to Saks Fifth Avenue in Brickell City Centre.
After the store closed, a shocked Paret was greeted by Drake, who was inspired by an earlier Herald story about her tiring commute, which can take up four hours of her day.
She immediately knew who the rapper was because she had seen him on television.
The shopping spree for Paret – who moved to the US from Haiti about 20 years ago – and two other women was arranged by the Canadian rapper and Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who grew up in Miami.
Paret was given 45 minutes to buy whatever she wanted in Saks – and opted for a pair of $800 comfortable shoes, a $2,000 Valentino handbag and four bottles of perfume.

Her most expensive purchase was an 18-karat white gold necklace with diamonds for $10,000 – something an often blinged-up Drake no doubt approved of.
She had initially tried to buy clothes but nothing fit.
‘It made me happy… I thank him so much,’ Paret told the Herald on Tuesday.
