Drew Barrymore cuts a chic figure as she kicks off her Australian tour at Wanderlust event in Sydney

Drew Barrymore was in excellent spirts as she attended the first date of her Australian tour on Friday night. 

The Hollywood star headlined wellness brand Wanderlust’s ‘True North’ event at ICC Sydney Theatre, where she shared her life story with audiences.

The actress, 49, cut a chic figure in a white blouse accentuated by a large black pussy bow. 

She added a pair of trendy olive green trousers and heels, making for a high fashion silhouette. 

Drew opted for a warm makeup look  with a pink lip gloss and wore her caramel locks up in a loose bun. 

Also on hand for the event was Olympic swimmer Michael Klim and AFL legend Adam Goodes. 

Television reporter Angela Bishop put in a stylish appearance too, looking stylish in a black frock.

Drew, known for starring roles in Charlie’s Angels and The Wedding Singer, has her next stop at the Brisbane Convention Centre this weekend. 

‘My life’s journey has been an extraordinary odyssey, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my life story from my triumphs, setbacks, and everything in between in Australia, one of my favourite countries, at Wanderlust True North,’ she said in a statement prior to her tour. 

Drew said he was ‘thrilled’ to appear on stage with a handpicked array of celebrities, who are yet to be announced. 

‘This will be an unforgettable evening filled with heartwarming laughter, joy and an abundance of soul-stirring moments that will inspire you to be the best version of you, and as Wanderlust highlights “Find your True North”,’ she added.

Starting her acting journey in early childhood, the Hollywood icon made a significant mark with her role in E.T.. 

Since then, she has consistently maintained top-tier status throughout her career, delivering numerous box office hits. 

The actress moved into television presenting in 2020, when she became the host of her own syndicated talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show.

Drew has also been a stalwart advocate for wellness practices and mental health awareness.

Wanderlust chief executive Charlotte Hill welcomed the news, saying that Barrymore is ‘an icon and loved the world over’. 

‘It will be two very special nights and we couldn’t think of anyone better to represent our brand who has nourished her life with meditation, mindfulness, manifestation and giving back to people and the planet,’ Hill added.

 ‘It’s a pleasure to be able to platform and celebrate an incredible woman at Wanderlust True North, who has impacted so many of us whether on the big screen, on the talk show couch or through her commitment to living her best life.’

Hill also said that Drew is an inspiration, encouraging women ‘to live a more purposeful life by being a conscious shopper, a better mother, adopting a daily practice, enjoying life and having authentic conversations.’
