Neon pink McLaren 570 supercar worth £150,000 is left a mangled wreck after driver loses control and crashes on affluent London street

  • The £150,000 British-made super car hit a Volkswagen Golf in central London 
  • The 203mph car suffered damage to the bonnet, as well as the nearside wing
  • London Fire Brigade said they ‘made the scene safe after the driver lost control’ 

The McLaren 570 was left a mangled wreck after the crash in a central London street.

The motorist behind the wheel of the £150,000 car – with a top speed of 203mph – lost control.

It’s understood it happened in a 20mph limit in Montagu Mansions in Marylebone.

The McLaren has a 0-60mph of less than three seconds.

Simon Tuhill – London Fire Brigade Borough Commander for Camden – said’ ‘We go to many incidents involving crashed vehicles.

‘But not that many where one of those vehicles is a McLaren 570 supercar.

‘Crews from Euston attended this RTC on Montagu Mansions, Marylebone last week to make the scene safe after a driver lost control.’ 

MailOnline has approached Scotland Yard for an update on the case. 

Last week, shocking footage showed a bright orange Lamborghini Huracan swerving in front of other traffic to pull onto a slip road leaving the A3 outside Portsmouth. 

Unfortunately for the owner, a police car spotted the dangerous manoeuvre and followed the Italian V-10 supercar with its blue lights flashing.
