Driver dragged through car window after high speed chase in Perth

Dramatic footage has revealed the moment police officers drag a woman through a window of a Mustang after a high speed chase.

The Perth Organised Crime Squad had tried to stop the car earlier but the driver sped off so the officers gave chase. 

Police caught up to her after the silver Mustang she was driving collided with a Suzuki Swift on the Reid Highway.

Footage shows a police officer pulling the woman out of the car and putting her on the ground before another one jumps over the crashed car to help with the arrest.

Children were inside the car at the time but were uninjured. 

A police officer suffered minor injuries in the incident. 

The dramatic arrest caused chaos on the Highway with the eastbound lane closedbetween Tonkin Highway and Malaga Drive for part of the afternoon. 

Traffic is back to Reid Highway and congestion is heavy in the surrounding area. Please be patient, allow extra travel time and seek alternative routes,’ Main Roads Western Australia posted over social media shortly after the event.
