The elderly man was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla when he was clocked doing 93mph on Interstate 81 near the town of Kirkwood by New York state police trooper. He eventually got off the highway and drove onto the Golden Oak Golf Course where he stopped
The trooper tried to pull Maliwacki over, but the 79-year-old ignored the lights and sirens of the patrol car and kept on driving down the highway.
He eventually exited the highway to drive onto local roads while still speeding.
A deputy with the Broome County Sheriff’s Department was alerted to the situation via radio and laid a spike strip on the road as the red Corolla approached.
The tires on the car were flattened but that still didn’t stop Maliwacki from pulling over.
No one was hurt in the incident, but six greens at the golf course were damaged from the tire tracks (above)
He kept on driving the vehicle and pulled onto the Golden Oak Golf Course where he tore up the grass while driving in circles.
He eventually got stuck and was quickly arrested by authorities who pulled up behind him.
