Driver warning over easy windscreen washer error that could end up costing you THOUSANDS

Drivers are being warned over simple mistake that cost a Mini owner thousands of pounds after she saw a flashing light on her dashboard.
The motorist went to her local garage to top up her windscreen washer fluid, after spotting the levels were running low.
Without help from the mechanics, she popped the bonnet and emptied the soapy liquid into a nosel… moments later her car was smoking and emitting a blue cloud from the engine.
And, on top of all that, the windshield washer light was still flashing.

The woman poured washer liquid where motor oil should go and caused a total wreckage which began with a cloud of blue smoke
The woman soon discovered that instead of resolving the issue, she had caused irreversible damage to her Mini.
When an employee from the garage went out to inspect the vehicle, he discovered that the woman had poured washer fluid where the motor oil should go.
And, as a result, the engine became covered by a monstrous foamy sludge.

The expensive mistake was posted on a Facebook motorist club – many users have expressed their sympathy for the woman
The post was uploaded by Club BMW Voiture Allemande Région centre in France and has had more than 25,000 comments and 37,000 likes.
A member of the community page shared their encounter with the woman at the garage.
The post read: ‘I checked and she has put 5 litres of windscreen washer in the spot where the oil is supposed to be.’
Users were left in shock at the state of the sludge, and were quick to give their opinions.
One person commented: ‘It’s funny, but this can happen to all of us.’
Some users hopped to the woman’s defence, one person said: ‘You could have taken one minute of your time to fill up her windscreen washer!!!’
Another said: ‘As a professional, you have to ask people if they know where to put the windshield washer… not everyone knows everything.’
Another user agreed: ‘Why should we know how to do everything.’
Others were angry with the service provided by the garage, one woman commented: ‘How come BMW sells windscreen washer without offering the customer to refill it? It’s not professional, especially at the price they sell the can.’
