Dua Lipa models her Versace collection in striking photoshoot

Dua Lipa turned up the heat as she showcased her new Versace collection in a striking photoshoot. 

The singer, 27, has collaborated with the Italian luxury fashion house for her new range La Vacanza which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. 

And Dua proved to be her own best advert as she slipped into a sexy lilac sequin top and blue miniskirt for the front cover of the Dazed Summer 2023 issue. 

The Kiss Me hitmaker added lace up heeled sandals as she seductively posed for the camera. 

The shimmering outfit was perhaps a nod to Dua’s upcoming film debut as Mermaid Barbie in Margot Robbie’s Barbie, due to be released in July.

Another photo showed Dua rocking a glittering crown in a plunging bra with silver strap embellishments. 

Lingerie was a common theme in the photoshoot, with the songstress going on to model a strappy black bra and disc waist belt. 

Dua co-designed the vacation-inspired collection with Donatella Versace herself  which officially debuted in Cannes on May 23 during a scenic fashion show.

Speaking of her collaboration, she told the publication: ‘They gave me the opportunity to go into the archive and pull out Gianni’s early prints. 

‘We were able to bring [those] back a bit, modernise [them] and create a fun summer collection I feel very proud of.

‘It’s one of the very rare occasions where I work with someone and it really is exactly how you envision it. 

‘We text a lot, and she had such incredible input. On some of the dresses I would put a metal buckle and she was like, “Maybe we should make that buckle pink to modernise it in a different way”.

‘She wants you to feel amazing – and she wants you to be heard.’

The Grammy winner is no stranger to the world of Versace, and has sat front row at numerous runway shows for the brand, such as the recent Fall/Winter 2023 presentation in March, which notably brought a number of other celebrities, such as Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore. 

Dua also strutted on the catwalk for Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 show during Milan Fashion Week. 

For this year’s Met Gala she co-hosted the event and sunned in a 1992 Chanel bridal dress first made famous by Claudia Schiffer, before hosting her own afterparty at Virgo. 

She told the publication: ‘I felt like a princess, and then went raving in the evening, so it was perfect.’

Dua went on to reveal her hangover cure: ‘A cold shower. A Diet Coke really does just bring me back to life. And some good, delicious food.’
