Duchess of Edinburgh looks stylish as she visits a hospital in Shropshire

The Duchess of Edinburgh put on a stylish display today as she visited a new Orthopaedic Centre for veterans in Shropshire.

Sophie, 58, looked relaxed as she met with staff members and patients at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Gobowen, Oswestry, this morning.

The Headley Court Veterans’ Orthopaedic Centre, which is the first centre of its kind, opened in November 2022 and provides support for former army men and women dealing with physical issues as well as mental health issues such as PTSD.

For the occasion, Sophie repeated a white jacket from Altuzarra she first wore in March 2022 for the occasion.

She looked elegant, pairing the blazer with a crimson skirt and tan stiletto hills. .

The royal mother-of-two toured the centre and met with members of its staff, learning about the work that they do to help veterans and their loved ones.

She looked elegant in the Altuzarra number, which she debuted last year while visiting the 5th Battalion in Bulford.

The finely tailored double-breasted number emphasised Sophie’s slim waist and made her look instantly chic.

She paired it with a silky crimson midi dress that reached down to her pair of tan stilettos.

The mother-of-two accessorised with a large taupe clutch bag and added a touch of shimmer with silver jewellery, including a a fine pair of drop earrings shaped like leaves and a silver necklace with two flower pendants.

Sophie was typically beaming during the event and sported a healthy glow that complimented her natural features.

A touch of bronzer enhanced her cheekbones and gave her a sun-kissed air. She also sported a brown shimmery eyeshadow that complimented her blue eyes, and some mascara to bring intensity to the makeup look.

She finished it off with a poppy pink lip, perfect for this sunny Tuesday.

During her visit, she toured the premise of the recently opened centre, learning more about the ways in which is helps veterans with their recovery.

The centre includes treatment suites, examination rooms, clinical rooms and dedicated spaces for the physicians to hold virtual engagements.

There are also offices dedicated to research, clinical teaching and training space for staff, a multi-disciplinary team room, and an office for admin staff.
