The Duchess of Sussex took a break from looking after Archie as she arrived at Wimbledon on Thursday.

Meghan, 37, made a surprise appearance to cheer on pal Serena Williams as she took on Kaja Juvan on Court One.

The mother-of-one looked stylish in a white and black-pin-striped blazer which she paired with jeans – and accessorised with an adorable ‘A’ necklace in tribute to her two-month-old son.

Donning a ring on her left hand and a stylish pair of sunglasses, she could be seen clutching a monochrome Madewell hat.

Meghan also opted for a pair of turquoise mountain nosheen stud earrings costing £50.

She has favoured turquoise gems on recent appearances, selecting the stunning stone for two of her three public appearances since she gave birth in May.

The royal, who is known for her chic monochrome wardrobe, opted for jewellery with the colourful stone for her appearance at a baseball game in London over the weekend, as well as during Archie’s photocall immediately after giving birth.

Last year, the Duchess of Sussex, then a newly-wed, attended the tennis competition with her sister-in-law Kate and put a display of friendship like never before.

Sharing jokes and smiles the two women seemed to have the time of their lives watching Serena William play the ladies’ final.

On that occasion the tennis legend, having given birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia ten months prior and suffered complications, could not take the trophy home.

Miss Williams, who became friends with Meghan after meeting her at a charity football match in 2014, was a guest at her wedding to Harry in May 2018 and is rumoured to be one of Archie Harrison’s godmother.

In 2018, Serena said: ‘We’ve always had a wonderful friendship. Every year for a couple of years she comes out to Wimbledon and supported me. Now she’s supporting me in a different role. But our friendship is still exactly the same.’

She added: ‘If there was a Wimbledon royalty, I would like to believe I would be Wimbledon royalty because I’ve done pretty well here in the past.’
