Dustin Hoffman spotted after sexual harassment claims

Dustin Hoffman was pictured for the first time on Friday since accusations emerged that he sexually harassed young actresses in the 1980s.

Hoffman, 80, was pictured with his wife Lisa as they arrived at a friend’s house for a party in Los Angeles on Friday night.

A short time after being dropped of by their chauffeured car, the pair were taken home and he was seen entering the house with a coffee cup in his hand.

The actor apologized last week after Anna Graham-Hunter, a former production assistant, described in length how he sexually harassed her on the set of Death of a Salesman in 1985.

Graham-Hunter was 17 at the time and Hoffman was in his mid-forties.

She detailed in journal entries that he, newly-married at the time to Lisa, told her he wanted ‘soft boiled clitoris’ for breakfast and accused him of telling others on the set that he wanted to feast on their breasts.

Dustin Hoffman, 80, was pictured arriving home after a friend’s party in Hollywood on Friday night clutching a cup of coffee. It is the first time he has been seen since he was accused of sexual harassment earlier this week

In a statement in response to her claims, Hoffman said: ‘I have the utmost respect for women and feel terrible that anything I might have done could have put her in an uncomfortable situation.

‘I am sorry. It is not reflective of who I am.’

He has not yet addressed the accusations of a second woman who claims he also harassed her in the 1990s.

Wendy Riss Gatsiounis, now 52, told Variety last week how she met Hoffman in 1991 when she was 26 and he was 53.

She claimed that he sexually propositioned her during the second of two meetings which had been scheduled to discuss turning her play, A Darker Purpose, into a movie.

They took place at the offices of Hoffman’s company Punch Productions in the Rockefeller Center and screenwriter Murray Schisgal was present, she said.

‘I go in, and this time it’s, like, Dustin Hoffman’s really different,’ she said, explaining how he had behaved appropriately at their first meeting.

‘He says, “Before you start, let me ask you one question, Wendy — have you ever been intimate with a man over 40?”

‘I’ll never forget — he moves back, he opens his arms, and he says, “It would be a whole new body to explore”.

‘I’m trying to go back to my pitch, and I’m trying to talk about my play. Then Dustin Hoffman gets up and he says he has to do some clothing shopping at a nearby hotel, and did I want to come along? He’s like, “Come on, come to this nearby hotel,”‘ she said.

Riss Gatsiounis said that he later backed out of a project to adapt one of her plays into a film as a result of her refusal to go with him.

Schisgal, now 90, responded to her comments by saying he could not remember any such meetings.

Hunter detailed his shocking alleged behavior in The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

‘He was openly flirtatious, he grabbed my a**, he talked about sex to me and in front of me.

‘One morning I went to his dressing room to take his breakfast order; he looked at me and grinned, taking his time,’ she said.

‘Then he said, ”I’ll have a hard-boiled egg … and a soft-boiled clitoris.” His entourage burst out laughing. I left, speechless. Then I went to the bathroom and cried.’
