LIVE: Dutch Grand Prix – Home hero Max Verstappen starts on pole position at Zandvoort as the Red Bull star looks to overtake fierce rival Lewis Hamilton in the race for the world championship
There is a lot of expectation on the shoulders of Max Verstappen as he starts on pole position at his home race for the Dutch Grand Prix.
Formula One has returned to the Netherlands for the first time in 36 years and comes on the back of a farcical weekend in Belgium where Verstappen claimed victory in a rain-affected race that was curtailed after just two laps.
Lewis Hamilton is three points ahead of Verstappen in the title race and starts alongside the Dutchman for the first time since the pair controversially collided at the British Grand Prix.
