Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot a concerning feature on President Joe Biden’s face as he addressed the nation on the New Orleans terror attack.
Biden took to Camp David on Wednesday evening where he finally addressed the country on the ISIS-inspired attack that slaughtered at least 15 victims in the early hours of New Year’s Day on the city’s famed Bourbon Street.
But some of those watching were quick to spot a slight difference to his face – leading to discussions on X regarding his overall health.
‘Biden looked awful,’ one viewer shared to X. ‘He looked like he may have fallen from his lower lip looking swollen and bruised.’
Another viewer tagged Fox News and agreed, questioning: ‘When President Biden came on and gave an update today, what’s wrong with the left side of his jaw and lip?’
‘Did he have dental work, fall, or did he have a small stroke?’ they added. ‘How about finding out? Something is not right.’
A third viewer chimed in and tagged the White House account, adding: ‘Biden looked like he had fallen and couldn’t get up prior to his address.’
‘Look at his lip…. he also has a scar above his lip on the left side of his face,’ they added. ‘I couldn’t be the only one to notice this!!’

Yet his seemingly injured face wasn’t the only thing that left viewers questioning his presidential capabilities during his last 18 days in office.
The 82-year-old president’s health has been back in the news since The Wall Street Journal published a story on December 19 on how aides dealt with a ‘diminished’ president throughout his entire term.
The report revealed that aides would have to repeat obvious instructions to Biden – such as where to exit a stage.
Wednesday evening’s address, which lasted less than five minutes, appeared to prove no different.
Biden started off his Camp David appearance by consoling those in mourning.
‘Our nation grieves with you. We’re going to stand with you as you mourn and as you heal in the weeks to come,’ the president said.
Biden thanked the first responders who rushed to Bourbon Street and law enforcement who shot 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, the subject, dead in his tracks.
He said that explosives were found in the Jabbar’s vehicle and more were found in the surrounding area.
Viewers also questioned his cognitive abilities yet again during Wednesday evening’s address after Biden appeared to have a hiccup while squinting at the teleprompter and walked off the stage ignoring any further questions about the attack
Biden’s recent slip-ups came just days after he sputtered his way through a nine-minute appearance Sunday night in St. Croix to pay tribute to the late President Jimmy Carter
Biden reiterated that the alleged killer was a Texas-born American who served in the armed forces and was inspired by ISIS to mow down and kill at least 15 victims just hours into the new year while also advising that ‘no one should jump to conclusions’.
‘The FBI also reported to me that mere hours before he attacked he posted videos on social media indicating that he was inspired by ISIS – especially the desire to kill, the desire to kill,’ Biden said. ‘The ISIS flag was found in his vehicle, which he rented to conduct this attack.’
But at one point during the address, Biden appeared to have a hiccup while squinting at the teleprompter.
He was heard saying ‘there you go’ once is was seemingly fixed after looking down at his notes during a period of awkward silence.
Viewers were also quick to criticize the president’s brief remarks after he walked off stage, ignoring any questions shouted at him as he walked towards the exit door.
‘I am so tired of this man walking away from the press. An entire presidency turning his back on the American people,’ one viewer wrote on X.
Another chimed in, adding: ‘The ice cream is melting so he had to run. It’s not gonna eat itself, ya know.’
‘Stumbled out of the room without tripping, another wrote. ‘Big success.’
‘He couldn’t even stay focused while reading notes his staff fixed up for him..’ another said.

His coughing and sluggish delivery reinforced frequent concerns about his declining cognitive abilities.
Biden was also in hot waters over his ‘tone deaf’ response to the overnight tragedy in New Orleans – leaving social media viewers furious.
His first post on X in 2025 was a simple ‘Happy New Year, folks’ at 10am ET, just hours after the attacker plowed into the celebratory crowd.
Enraged people took to social media to immediately point out his ‘heartless’ blunder – calling it out of touch and insensitive to the victims and their families.
‘Joe Biden is a heartless pos,’ wrote one user. ‘People lost their lives in a terror attack, and he just tweeted ‘Happy New Year, Folks.’ Jan 20th can’t come fast enough.’
‘It’s utterly clumsy and tone deaf,’ another added.

Biden would also not answer whether he’d spoken to Trump, who took to social media to pin the blame for the New Year’s attack on rampant illegal migration perpetrated under Biden over the last four years
But approximately an hour after his New Year’s post, Biden finally issued a formal statement condemning the ‘act of terrorism’ and sending condolences to the victims’ families.
He then addressed reporters as he boarded his plane to Camp David, saying he’d have ‘more to say’ soon and that his first reaction was one of ‘anger and frustration.’
Although the 42-year-old suspect was confirmed to be a US citizen, Trump took to social media to pin the blame for the attack on rampant illegal migration perpetrated under Biden over the last four years.
‘When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true,’ Trump posted to Truth Social on Wednesday morning.
‘The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department.’
‘The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!’
