EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas admitted to hospital and is undergoing tests over mystery illness as actor reveals ‘I have something wrong with my liver’
Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinkas has been admitted to hospital with a mystery illness.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the actor, 32, told his followers that he has ‘something wrong with my liver’ but is so far unsure of the cause of his ailment.
Matt, who played Anthony Moon in the BBC soap, explained he’ll undergo tests at St Peter’s hospital in Chertsey, Surrey on Friday to determine what exactly is wrong with him.

After previously sharing an image of his ‘urgent referral’ card and telling how doctors are ‘keeping’ me in, Matt then shared a message to his stories thanking people for their support.
Giving an update to his fans, he said: ‘Thank you all for your support and msg, means loads! I’m back home now with further tests tomorrow and Saturday.
‘Basically, I have something wrong with my liver and it needs looking into.

‘I feel better than I have done the last few weeks but maybe it’s a delayed effect.’
Despite his worries over his health, the former Dancing On Ice contestant still manged to throw his support behind the England football squad as he added: ‘Oh and it’s coming home’.
Matt also shared a clip of him walking through the corridors of the hospital as he headed for tests.

And also uploaded a snap of himself in a hospital after having his tests, with the TV personality writing over it: ‘More needles’.
Matt’s illness will result him missing in an upcoming charity match on Sunday, in aid of a soldier who died in 2007.
Meanwhile, in March this year, Matt slammed trolls who mocked him over his new job as a builder, branding him a ‘failed actor’.

Firing back on the Soap From The Box podcast, he said: ‘You’ve got to put food on the table and I’ve got a mortgage to pay.
‘Calling me a failed actor, that’s wrong, that’s rude. It’s just rude, especially seeing as we’re going through a pandemic.
‘There’s nothing wrong with the job. I work with some great builders who do amazing work.’
