Michelle certainly worried fans when she revealed she was rushed to hospital on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, the actress admitted it had been a ‘worrying time’ but was quick to assure her fans that she was on the mend.

She revealed: ‘Thank you @nhs @RoyalFreeNHS for seeing me this morning at 9 am ,been a Worrying time but hopefully now all ok . when it works the @NHSEngland is fantastic ! Don’t destroy it. [sic]’

The following morning Michelle revealed she was feeling back to her best as she snapped a selfie ahead of working on a new project.

She kept the details brief, simply captioning the black and white snap: ‘#filming #hotel #swimmingpool #bitchilly #northdevon #firstday #britishfilm #indiefilm #melodrive #herewego’.

While Michelle didn’t reveal the reason for her hospital dash she shared in October that she had undergone various tests at a walk-in clinic.

‘Thank god we still have these to put less pressure on A&E, had tests and went away with antibiotics.’

After a fan expressed their concern and asked: ‘Hope all is OK now?’ Michelle replied: ‘Yes, thanks. I’ll be fine now, so nice of you to ask.’

MailOnline has contacted Michelle’s representatives for comment.

As well as working on her new film, Michelle has been kept busy with a political project and last month delivered a petition to Downing Street asking for all primary school children to receive free school meals.

The actress, who hails from London, spoke out about her own experiences as a child as her mum had to work three jobs to pay for food so she would not have to line up for free dinners.

The capital’s mayor Sadiq Khan recently unveiled a taxpayer-funded £130million plan to give all London primary schoolchildren free meals – and suggested the scheme should be copied nationwide.

The capital’s mayor will fund meals for one year from September for up to 270,000 students, funded by business rates paid by firms, in a move he said would save families up to £440 per child.

Touching on the very personal reasons she decided to back this scheme being rolled out across the UK, Michelle told Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain that she has been an ambassador for children’s charity Barnardos for years.

‘I’m a mother, but I also remember when I was a kid and my mum was a single parent,’ Michelle said. ‘She didn’t want us to have free school dinners because she felt it was humiliating for us.

‘There were separate queues in those days, so she had three jobs and she really struggled. But I knew how some of my friends felt, who were in that queue. Now things are getting back to what it was years ago.

‘At the moment there are free school meals up to the age of two and then you have to pay for it.

‘Sadiq Khan has rolled out that London is going to do it for a year but what we want the Government to do is make it nationwide.’
