It’s the Prince Harry topic that’s divided a nation.
And no, it’s not his recent engagement news that’s had people in a spin, but a much more important subject: does Prince Harry look like Ed Sheeran?
The answer doesn’t appear to be imminent, but it didn’t stop Ed from defending his (some say) doppelganger on Australia’s KIIS FM on Thursday.
Cute! Ed Sheeran defended his doppelganger Prince Harry on Australian radio Thursday, after believing the hosts were criticising his engagement to Meghan Markle
Speaking to the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the singer rushed to the defence of his beloved Prince and his wife-to-be.
Making the situation all the more precious, the hosts never actually criticised the couple, but it must be nice for Harry to know the world’s biggest singer has his back.
‘What about the new princess, Harry has gone and plucked this girl from obscurity!’ shock-jock Kyle Sandilands asked.

‘You’d know Harry right, from the red-heads club?’ the cheeky radio star added.
As is often the case, co-host Jackie O Henderson chimed-in to turn the subject in a more positive direction.
‘It’s big news there [the engagement] does Britain get excited over this engagement? Even Australia gets excited about it!’
Are you excited? ‘It’s big news there [the engagement] does Britain get excited over this engagement? Even Australia gets excited about it!’ co-host Jackie O Henderson asked
Whether compelled by loyalty, or a sense of connection, Ed seemed to ignore the positive tone and hit back at the non-existent criticism.
‘Yeah man, I think, it’s like: what’s there to be mad about?’ he asked.
‘Like, obviously they’re in love and they’re going to get married… I think it’s great!’

Turns out, Ed has only ever met Harry once, but the charismatic royal appears to have had an instant connection.
Word has been buzzing in various circles this year that Ed and Harry are pretty convincing lookalikes – in 2016, even Margot Robbie admitting to seeing it.
‘I think it’s great’: ‘Like, obviously they’re in love and they’re going to get married… I think it’s great!’ he continued
Harry himself doesn’t appear to subscribe to that belief however, reportedly ‘left in stitches’ back in March, when a high school girl insisted they were dead ringers.
‘Are you the real Prince Harry?’ the girl quipped, according to Hello Magazine, after rattling off several jokes about their alleged doppelganger status.
Still ‘in stitches’ at the schoolgirl’s energetic questioning, he reportedly replied: ‘Yes, the other one is Ed Sheeran.’
