Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter reunite at SAG Awards, 25 years after starring in The Parent Trap

Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter, who starred in the movie The Parent Trap  together back in 1998, enjoyed a jovial reunion on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Hendrix, 52, who played Meredith in the film, donned a stylish black tuxedo and her peroxide blonde bob was styled into flirty curls.

Meanwhile, fiery red head Walter, 59, who played Chessy, wore a show-stopping low-cut gown that put her cleavage on show.

The Parent Trap, starring a young Lindsay Lohan as twins Hallie and Annie, followed to girls, separated at birth who work to get their biological parents back together.

Hendrix revealed that Walter asked her to come to the event, in an interview with People on the red carpet, saying: ‘Lisa Ann Walter asked me to show up as her date, so by golly, I showed up as her date.’

‘She sure did,’ Walter added. ‘It’s the best-looking date in a tux I’ve ever had.’

The pair’s appearance at the event came about 25 years after they worked on the hit movie The Parent Trap.

While they hung out on the red carpet together, Walter and Hendrix actually played enemies in the beloved Disney classic.

Elaine played Meridith, a woman looking to marry Lohan’s characters’ father Nick (Dennis Quaid) for his money while Lisa Ann played Nick’s housekeeper Chessy, who keeps a watchful eye on Elaine.

Walter’s outfit held significant meaning for her with her saying she alway knew she’d wear it to the SAG Awards.

‘I went a little more ’50s, but this is a dress that I found about five years ago, and when I saw it I was entirely unemployed and I said I’m gonna wear this to the SAG awards,’ she told People. ‘Specifically, I don’t know why, but specifically the SAG Awards — so I feel like I manifested it.

Walter was invited to the event for her role in the television show Abbott Elementary which was up for multiple awards at the event.

Abbott Elementary took home the trophy for Comedy Series Ensemble. The show’s leading lady, Quinta Brunson, was also nominated for Female Actor in a Comedy Series, but lost to Jean Smart for her role in Hacks.

Among the television nominees, Ozark scored several nods. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney were both nominated in the lead categories, as was their costar Julia Garner.
