Elderly woman dies after run over by a car in driveway

  • Just before 6.30pm, emergency crews rushed to a Barossa Valley address 
  • A woman, believed to be in her 80s, had been run over in her driveway 
  • Paramedics performed CPR, she was unable to be revived and died at the scene 

A woman in her 80s has died in the driveway of her Adelaide home after being run over by a car Saturday evening. 

Emergency services were called to Trestrail Circuit, Williamstown, in the Barrossa Valley, shortly before 6.30pm.

She received CPR on the scene by paramedics, but was unable to be saved and was declared dead.

It’s understood she was walking around the vehicle when she was accidentally struck and run over. 

A Major Crash Investigation squad was expected to travel from Adelaide Saturday night to conduct examinations. 

It’s unknown if the driver of the vehicle was a relative of the woman.
