Recently, following the Cannes Film Festival in France and her Vogue cover debut, the actress talked with PEOPLE about her personal style.
‘I try to change it up and go on my gut feeling,” she said. ‘It’s very instinctual, and I do know what I like. I am very particular with certain things, and I’ve always just wanted to experiment and have fun with my clothes, so that is it. I’ve always been, like, “be true to yourself.”‘
Fanning has enjoyed quite the acting career thus far. She has worked alongside some of the greats including Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, and Nicole Kidman.
But despite growing up in the industry, Elle still gets nervous auditioning.
‘I passed out in an audition once,’ she told Hoda Kotb in an interview. ‘I just fainted. I didn’t get the part obviously. I got Carl’s Jr. and Pink Berry after, so that was good. It was just nerves.’
