Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have purchased a stunning new Beverly Hills home for a cool $15million. 

The popular TV host, 60, who is a keen enthusiast of dabbling in the property market and flipping houses alongside her Australian other half, 45, has certainly scored well with the spacious abode steeped in old Hollywood glamour. 

The Regency-style home in sunny California was built in 1962 and designed by architect-to-the-stars John Elgin Woolf and was the home to actress philanthropist Marjorie Lord – before being sold for $8.3million after her death in 2015.

Single storey in design, the sprawling home boasts web-patterned wood ceilings and original Pullman entry doors.

Upon entrance a circular foyer paves way for the rest of the jaw-dropping mansion, with staggering floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every room to take in the city-to-ocean views.

A perfect place for entertainment, Ellen and her wife can unwind in the 5,100 square feet of living space complete with plush grey couches for an added homely touch. 

The living space also stretched out to the reimagined kitchen – complete with a skylight-topped island, a breakfast nook, a family room and a den/office. 

Five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms makes it the perfect place for Ellen to have guests over.

Meanwhile, the master bedroom suite boasts the most luxurious bathroom of them all with its doors opening onto a courtyard and a pool and spa. 

Ellen recently celebrated her 10th anniversary with Portia. The pair, who began dating since 2004, tied the knot August 16 at their former Los Angeles home in front of an small crowd of 19 guests, all family and friends.

As well as her long-running hosting commitment, Ellen recently made the announcement about her return to the stage in a Netflix special called Relatable, which will be available to stream on December 18.

 

The comedian also recently wrapped her tour in the Benaroya Hall on August 22 and 23, with one of those shows taped for Netflix. 

The streaming service shelled out $20 million for the comedy showcase, according to Forbes.

Ellen’s 2001 and 2003 HBO stand-up specials earned multiple Emmy nominations.
