Ellen Pompeo looked sensational as she enjoyed a yacht trip in Sardinia while on a family holiday with her husband Chris Ivery and their children.

The actress, 52, displayed her lithe physique as she donned a white swimsuit while relaxing on deck with her partner and a group of friends.

The Greys Anatomy star was seen diving off the edge of the boat as she made the most of the Mediterranean weather by going for a swim.

Letting her brunette locks fall loose down her shoulders, the star went makeup free for the outing as she took a break from her role on the ABC drama.

Following her swim, Ellen wrapped up in a towel and was seen relaxing on deck with her friends as they had lunch at sea. 

Music producer Chris, who tied the knot with Ellen in 2007, went shirtless and kept it casual in a pair of black swimming trunks.  

Ellen and Chris share three children – daughters Stella, 12, and Sienna, seven, and a son Eli, five.

The couple met in Los Angeles in 2003, about two years before she scored the role of Meredith Grey.

After dating for a few years, the pair married in 2007 during a private ceremony.

One of the world’s highest paid actors since 2017, Ellen has played Dr. Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy for the medical drama’s 18 season run to date.

That run will be extended for at least another year, as both the show and its leading lady have been renewed for a 19th season.

‘So the idea that I have this great husband and these three beautiful children [and] a happy home life was really something I needed to complete, to close the hole in my heart.’
