She shot into the spotlight after appearing as Jake Gyllenhaal and Isla Fisher’s daughter in psychological thriller Nocturnal Animals.
And rising star Ellie Bamber, 20, has spoken about her experience working with ‘legendary’ director Tom Ford on the flick, at such an early point in her career.
Speaking to ES Magazine the starlet, who is currently starring in a West End play off the back of the film, confessed the designer was truly ‘incredible’ on set, in terms of both vision and direction.

Ellie kicked off her blossoming career in the likes of BBC drama The Musketeers and parody Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, before bagging her big break in the BAFTA-nominated Nocturnal Animals.
In perhaps her most challenging role to date, Ellie played India, the daughter of Gyllenhaal and Fisher’s character who, alongside her mother, is raped and killed after local troublemakers ran the family off the road.
Discussing the high-profile project with the magazine, the Surrey native only had high praise for director Tom Ford – who spent plenty of time honing her accent and exploring her character with her.

She explained: ‘I remember we had meetings with him and I would have an hour’s session with him and talk about things like the accent.
‘Obviously he’s from Texas, so he was able to give me a clear idea of what my own character’s upbringing was like. He was great with the direction, giving me notes.
‘He would say, “Okay we need to work on that, we need to work on this. Let’s get that together.”’

As a top designer first and foremost, the beauty was also quick to laud Tom as ‘legendary’ in the industry, for his attention to detail and artistic filming style.
She revealed: ‘They were things that I didn’t have to think about… he had these incredible mood boards.’

Ellie has been portraying Hilde in the play since October, and the run wraps early next month.
However, the stylish redhead will no doubt miss being in her Covent Garden surroundings, as it is home to her favourite vintage shops.
Known for her quirky style, Ellie even revealed that director Tom used to tease her for her kooky clothing on set, adding: ‘Tom used to call me Barbarella because I used to wear these silver boots; there was a Halloween party the other day and I went as her!’
With her status as an actress only rising, the screen star is also set to appear in fantasy film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms next year, alongside Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman.
She also recently took centre stage in Treat You Better hitmaker Shawn Mendes’ music video for his single There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.
