Elliot Page is back starring in the first trailer for the upcoming third season of his popular Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy.
The trailer, release Thursday, features the 35-year-old Inception star going to battle with a rival family named the Sparrow Academy, which has come into existence after the Umbrella Academy accidentally created a new timeline the last time they saved the world.
Page previously revealed that his character, now renamed Viktor Hargreeves, will come out as a transgender man and transition to mirror his own transition.

The group gets some difficult news at the start of the trailer as they return home, only to find that their adoptive father (Colm Feore) has no idea who they are.
‘This isn’t your home. This is the Sparrow Academy!’ he says to collective curses from the group.
Aidan Gallagher, playing Five, explains that the group created a ‘time paradox’ when they jumped back to the present from the 1960s.
”Our little paradox brought forth the freaking Kugelblitz,’ which he explains means they’re in big trouble.

Their powers aren’t laid out, but one member of the new family can conjure birds to terrorize them, while one of the Umbrella Academy members runs through a forest while being chased by spirits.
The Sparrows’ version of Ben, whose Umbrella Academy version is dead, is seen in the shadows flapping around massive worm-like tentacles.

Spooky: Klaus, the group’s medium, is seen being chased through the woods by spirits
‘Everybody else could see Ben, right?’ Klaus (Robert Sheehan) asks later as the Umbrella Academy recuperates after their battle.
‘Yeah, he’s a complete d***head,’ replies Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman).
‘We caused a paradox, and that paradox is swallowing things,’ Viktor explains later.
A shockwave is then seen, which seems to destroy everything in its path, including an IV bag full of blood and an unfortunate Pug.

Meanwhile, Five is chowing down with his adopted siblings when he informs them that alternative versions of their selves still exist in the current timeline, though they were never adopted together.
The others suggest that they ‘Kill them’ or ‘Sleep with them,’ to which he corrects, ‘Avoid them!’
The trailer then climaxes with a bevy of dancing and fight scenes.
The Umbrella Academy season three debuts on Netflix on June 22.
