Musk branded Zuckerberg’s knowledge of AI ‘limited’
Elon Musk took on Mark Zuckerberg back in 2017, saying the Facebook boss’s knowledge of artificial intelligence was ‘limited’.
The war of words began when Zuckerberg said Musk’s negativity about the future of AI was ‘pretty irresponsible’.
Zuckerberg held a Facebook Live session while barbequing in his Palo Alto backyard, asking questions on AI and technology.
One question came in: ‘I watched a recent interview with Elon Musk, and his largest fear for future was AI. What are your thoughts on AI, and how it could affect the world?’
Zuckerberg responded: ‘I have pretty strong opinions on this.
‘I’m really optimistic. I’m an optimistic person in general – I think you can build things and the world gets better. But, with AI especially.
‘And I think that people who are naysayers and kind of try to drum up these doomsday scenarios are – I don’t understand it.
‘It’s really negative and in some ways I actually think it’s pretty irresponsible.’
Musk hit back at the comments on Twitter, writing: ‘I’ve talked to Mark about this. His understanding of the subject is limited’.

Musk branded Bezos a copycat in 2019
Musk threw shade at Jeff Bezos in April 2019, branding the Amazon boss a copycat when he announced his rocket startup’s plans to launch 3,000 internet satellites into space.
It had emerged that Bezos, founder of aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company Blue Origin in 2000, plans to send a constellation of about 3,000 satellites into space to provide internet access to under-served areas across the globe.
Musk replied to news of the scheme with a Tweet directed at Bezos with the word ‘copy’ and a cat emoji, pointing to the fact that his SpaceX firm had already launched two prototype satellites into orbit.
Reports at the time of the spat said that Bezos had hired SpaceX’s former vice president of satellites Rajeev Badyal for the ‘copycat’ project.
One month later, he was at it again when Bezos unveiled Blue Origin’s grand vision to travel to the moon.
Bezos sent a Tweet including an altered image of the lander with the word ‘Moon’ crossed out and replaced with the word ‘Balls.’
The tech boss’s feud appears to have started in 2015 when Bezos called out his competitor when Blue Origin launched a rocket into space then landed it back on Earth, calling the reusable rocket the ‘rarest of beasts’ and adding that the company made the feat ‘look easy.’
Musk wasn’t too happy about that characterization and replied to the tweet, offering up a congratulations, but adding that Bezos had only sent a rocket into space, not into orbit.
