Elsa Pataky admits she didn’t think marriage with Chris Hemsworth would last in brutal interview: ‘It puts a lot of pressure on a marriage’

Elsa Pataky revealed her initial doubts about her marriage to Chris Hemsworth in a candid interview from 2018 that has recently resurfaced.

The couple, who were set up by their agent in 2010, wed within just three months—a whirlwind romance that often spells doom for celebrities but turned out to be a chance to solidify their love and grow together.

‘It was beautiful in the beginning,’ Pataky, 47, told Vogue Australia.

‘When I met him, he wasn’t known at all and I grew with him and experienced all his successes and changes, and then he became just so huge and I’ve been sharing that too.’

Pataky opened up about the unique challenges of transitioning from obscurity to fame, especially while managing the pressures of marriage and raising children.

‘We did everything very quickly—I don’t know how we survived as a couple. We were married and then a year after we had kids,’ she said.

‘It puts a lot of pressure on a marriage, but we came out good because there is a lot of love between us and we are very strong personalities but love each other so much. We make it work.’

Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has also spoken about their instant connection.
