Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth watch Australian Open

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky are frequently seen putting on affectionate displays in their hometown of Byron Bay.

And while the famous couple were further south on Sunday, they were no less loved-up, watching the Australian Open men’s final in Melbourne.

Taking their plum seats inside Rod Laver Arena, Elsa, 41, was seen tenderly resting her head on her hunky husbands shoulders as they joined a slew of well-known names who turned out for the thrilling five-set tennis match.

Before the game began, the 34-year-old Thor star and his Spanish-born wife were seen making their way through the crowd to take their seats.

Chris looked Hollywood cool as he shielded his eyes from the setting sun in a pair of aviator sunglasses.

Keeping casual in spite of the glitzy occasion, the father-of-three wore a plain white shirt and beneath a light brown button up.

Elsa dutifully trailed behind, stunning a long sleeved leopard print frock.

Clearly elated to be courtside, the couple were seen laughing together, before Chris flashed a peace sign to someone else in the stands.

Elsewhere in the stands, Jessica Gomes was seen sitting pretty, wearing a green patterned dress as she watched Roger Federer sail to victory.

The 33-year-old beauty left her dark hair out for the occasion, accessorising with a chunky pair of gold earrings.

Also sitting in the sold-out crowd were Home and Away veterans Ray Meagher and Ada Nicodemou.

The pair were seated next to TV presenter and journalist Andrew Denton, who sported facial hair and his trademark circular specs.

Given the Australian Open final is one of the country’s most elite sporting matches, it wasn’t a surprise to also see the rich and powerful watching on.

Ros Packer, the widow of billionaire media magnate Kerry Packer, was also spotted in the crowd.

The 79-year-old philanthropist arrived at the venue early, looking fit and healthy as she took to her seat ahead of the big game.
