Back in August, Emily said she has been dating ‘young guys’ with no luck.
Speaking to comedienne Ellie Taylor, 39, on her podcast Soaking Up Life With Emily Atack, the actress said: ‘I’ve been dating guys in their 20s, and it’s not getting me anywhere.’
Ellie – who is married to CNN journalist Phil Black, 42 – advised Emily to age up by going for someone ‘nice’ in their 40s.
Ellie said: ‘Go for a nice 40-year-old.’ Emily replied: ’40-year-olds scare me’.
She continued: ‘They are still children, how is it, when we are talking about men and they are twenty-eight, thirty-three, “yeah but, they’re still young”.

A month after the podcast, Emily was spotted holding hands with her nuclear scientist pal in London.
The presenter looked effortlessly chic in a stylish yellow dress as she walked through the streets of London hand-in-hand with Dr Alistair Garner.
Alistair describes himself as a Materials scientist and electron microscopist specialising in nuclear and aerospace applications.
An onlooker told The Sun: ‘Emily was deep in conversation with Alistair. She had a cocktail and Alistair ordered a beer.
‘Emily looked to be having a great time and couldn’t stop smiling. When they left they were holding hands.’
However, a source dismissed claims of a romance and told MailOnline: ‘Emily and Alistair are just friends.’
