Emily Atack has revealed she was told she wouldn’t land parts in the States unless she dropped to a size two.
Speaking in her new book, Are We There Yet?: To indignity… and beyond!, the actress, 29, discussed being subjected to cruel comments on social media during her time playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners.
While the gorgeous star says she is now ‘fine’ about her weight she admitted she used to google herself to see what people would say about her body or if they were accusing her of being fat.

The I’m A Celebrity 2018 runner-up, then a size 10/12 said she felt like an ‘ogre’ when she went to auditions, with the scrutiny increasing when she went to America.
Despite getting fitter and working out with a personal trainer, the star said she was told she wouldn’t land any roles unless she shed weight – leading her to turn her back on the American dream.
She said: ‘Around that time, I was in discussions with LA managers to make my first visit to the city. I remember Skyping one woman, who wanted me to fly over to meet her with a view to potentially signing me.
‘I asked her when she thought it would be a good time to come and she said, “Well, Emily, to be honest… we aren’t even going to think about getting you over here until you are at least a size 2.” Her EXACT words.

‘I hung up the call and made an internal, conscious decision to knock LA on the head as I knew I was never, ever going to be whatever it was they wanted me to be.
‘I plucked up the courage and told my English agents that I just didn’t think Hollywood was a path I could go down at that moment in time.’
Emily also said that at the age of 29, she has conceded she is too old to play sexy schoolgirls anymore and she has to be ‘realistic’ as she gets older.
She said: ‘My boobs are getting saggier now, my a**e isn’t getting rounder sadly but flatter (ha!) and I can’t play sexy schoolgirls anymore.
‘But my personality – that’s not going anywhere. So I thought: what if I could put myself out there and see what people think of my personality rather than just my weight, or my boobs, or my hilariously misinformed sex appeal?’
The star is now the host of I’m A Celebrity spin-off Extra Camp and said she was delighted with the opportunity to show her personality and tell her story on the 2018 series.
