EMILY PRESCOTT: Beware of the selfie-hunters! Louis Theroux’s fright at the museum

His documentaries see him using his self-effacing charm to gain access to unlikely places. And it seems Louis Theroux is good at immersing himself in unfamiliar surroundings in real life, too.

The 53-year-old must have forgotten to read the small print on his invitation last week, when he attended an after-party at the Museum of Scotland following his Edinburgh Festival keynote speech.

Seemingly unaware there was a VIP area, he found himself in a room of adoring fans instead. Turns out poor old Louis, left, had mistakenly wandered into the ‘emerging talent’ section, and was promptly swarmed on by selfie hunters, before being ushered away by TV director wife Nancy Strang.

My spy tells me: ‘He got mobbed and everyone was congregating around him like bees to a honey pot.’

Bet he was glad Nancy came to the rescue!

All husbands get on their wives’ nerves, but ever tried relaxing on the sofa while your loved one chomps away on a piece of plastic?

Model Vogue Williams, 37, has revealed her frustration with her former Made In Chelsea star husband Spencer Matthews, 35, who is now munching on a lump of plastic in the hope of getting a stronger jawline.

On their podcast, Vogue, right with Spencer, says: ‘It’s very hard when you’re in a room and someone’s just chewing on plastic.’

They say no pain no gain – but I’m not sure who’s suffering the most!

Bake-Off’s Noel Fielding, who is also on Never Mind The Buzzcocks and found fame in The Mighty Boosh, reveals: ‘It’s always Bs with me, there’s some kind of magic with the letter B. I’m scared to make a show that doesn’t include a B.’ Would Noel, 50, ever consider breaking his ‘B’ streak and join the judging panel on The X Factor, should Simon Cowell decide to bring the show back? ‘No disrespect to pop but it’s not my thing, X Factor and that s***. I feel slightly sorry for the kids,’ he says. Guess, that’s a No then.
