An Australian self-tanning product has become a massive hit in the United States after supermodel Emily Ratjkowski shared a snap of herself using it.
The actress recently took to Instagram to declare Bondi Sands Aero, a $25 spray-on self-tanning formula available from the pharmacy chain Priceline, a must-have product.
The photo, which shows the stunning actress in a chic black bikini along with a can of the tanning spray, earned more than 1.5 million likes as well as scores of comments from people saying how great her tan looked.
According to Bondi Sands’ co-founder Blair James, Emily’s love of the product has helped push it to become a top-selling item across the United States and the rest of the world.

‘Emily’s post created huge worldwide attention, definitely helping to push Aero to become our number one selling product within Walgreens as soon as the product was available in store,’ Mr James told News.com.au.
Bondi Sands launched into the US in December 2018 and the actress is a brand ambassador.
The self-tanning product, described as the ‘next generation of self-tan’, is designed to hydrate the skin while tanning the skin to a naturally darker shade.
‘With dual tanning actives and our signature coconut scent, this ultra-lightweight aerosol foam will leave your skin with a deep, long-lasting, bronzed glow,’ reads product information on the Bondi Sands site.

The four star rated product also comes with a plethora of reviews from those who’ve tried it, with many declaring it a ‘new favourite’.
‘After using Dark Foam for years I decided to switch to the new Aero tan,’ said one reviewier.
‘It dries so fast, and felt like I wasn’t even wearing tan so it was so comfortable to sleep in and hardly transferred on to my sheets! The colour is super dark; it’s my new favourite!’
‘So light, soft texture and easy to apply, Aero is definitely your tan when you are a little short on time but in need of some colour,’ said another.
‘Application with the self-tanning mitt gave me streak-free colour that didn’t need to be rinsed off till 6hrs later. Now, how convenient is that!’
The self-tanning formula comes with a plethora of glowing reviews including one from a person who said it dried quickly and left no sticky residue (pictured left and right, fans of Bondi Sands Aero)
While the aerated tanning foam worked well for many, some reviewers said it didn’t quite live up to their expectations.
‘I was so excited to use this product but it didn’t live up to expectations. I have very pale skin and I don’t think this tan is suited for fair skin,’ one person said.
Another added: ‘I’ve used this about four times now I’ve been so excited since the announcement of a new product but this doesn’t live up to the hype… and I’m so sad.’
