Emma Corrin ensured they caught the eye while appearing at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado on Sunday morning.

The British star, best known for playing a demure Princess Diana in Netflix drama The Crown, stood out in an oversized sleeveless blazer and generously cut clacks during a photocall at the annual event.

Corrin, 26 – who identifies as non-binary – added to their look with a grungy white T-shirt and heavy duty black boots.

They were accompanied by French director Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, with whom they will work on a forthcoming adaptation of DH Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Corrin was in attendance as they continue promotional commitments for forthcoming romantic drama My Policeman, co-starring Harry Styles, David Dawson and Rupert Everett.

Based on author Bethan Roberts’ 2012 novel of the same name, the new film features former One Direction star Styles as a police constable engaged in a clandestine gay affair with a married man in conservative 1950s Brighton.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, Emma recently explained that they feel a shift in focus when referred to by gender neutral pronouns.

‘I feel much more seen when I’m referred to as ‘they,’ but my closest friends, they will call me ‘she,’ and I don’t mind, because I know they know me,’ they said.

Emma said that they don’t feel that gender is ‘fixed’ and explained that they might always feel some fluidity about their gender identity.

The My Policeman star also reflected on how supportive their family were when they came out as queer and told them about their relationship with a woman.

‘I started dating a girl and told my mum, and then my little brother DM’d me saying, “hey, I wanted to say welcome, because I’ve been bi for ages”,’ Emma explained.

But Emma admitted they have struggled with the clothing in some of their acting jobs, particularly when having to wear bras in Lady Chatterley’s Lover, which is yet to be released, and while starring as Marion in My Policeman.

They said: ‘I remember struggling with having to wear bras in Chatterley and as Marion, but it’s quite difficult, because I’m not Emma, right? I’m an actor, and I have a job to do.’
