Emma Roberts reveals how her A-list aunt Julia taught her how to ‘have a normal life’ despite her fame: ‘She’s always put being a mum first’

Emma Roberts has shared how her aunt Julia Roberts has been a role model when it comes to having a ‘normal life’.

The American Horror Story actress tells this week’s issue of Stellar Magazine that Julia, 56, places utmost importance on family life despite her A-list status.

‘When we’re together, we’re a pretty normal family’ the 33-year-old told the publication.

‘If she’s taught me anything, it’s nothing to do with the business but more how to have a family unit and a normal life within this business.’

Emma added that the Pretty Woman actress focuses on her children above her Hollywood career.

‘She’s always put being a mum first and I really admire that about her, especially now that I’m a mum; I observed that about her from a young age, and [it] always stuck with me’ she said.

Julia shares son Henry, 17, and her 19-year-old twins Hazel and Phinneas with her second husband, cinematographer Daniel Moder.

It comes after Emma revealed she isn’t a fan of the backlash that comes along with being labeled a nepo baby.

The star – who is the daughter of Eric Roberts – recently shared that she doesn’t see the same criticism for men as she does for women in the entertainment industry.

‘I feel like young girls get it harder with the nepo baby thing,’ she revealed on Tuesday’s episode of the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi podcast.

‘I don’t really see people calling out sons of famous actors – not that they should be called out.

‘I don’t think anyone should be called out for wanting to follow their dream’ she continued.

‘I always joke, “Why is no one calling out George Clooney for being a nepo baby? [His aunt] Rosemary Clooney was an icon,”‘ Emma quipped.

The Scream Queens star explained that people shouldn’t assume that the offspring of the rich and famous didn’t have to work hard to get where they are.

‘That’s the thing that I always talk about – people kind of only see your wins because they only see when you’re on the poster of a movie,’ Emma said.

‘They don’t see all the rejection along the way.’

The Holidate star first made her acting debut at age 10 in the 2001 crime drama Blow.
