Emma Willis and husband Matt ‘set to host the UK version of Love Is Blind as they present together for the first time in more than 10 years’

Emma Willis and her husband Matt have reportedly been named as the hosts of Love Is Blind UK after seeing off some tough competition from other celebrity couples.

The presenting job would be the first time in more than a decade that the couple, who married in 2008 and have three children, have hosted a show together.

The format of the show, which first launched in the U.S. on Netflix, sees couples meet for the first time ‘sight unseen’ before one pops the question.

A source told the Sun: ‘Emma and Matt caught the attention of show bosses following their documentary about Matt’s addiction battle – this was later boosted by Cooking With The Stars.

Emma, who hosts Cooking with the stars with Tom Allen, was joined by her husband during the most recent series as he donned his apron to compete on the show.

While Matt made an early exit from the show as the first to be eliminated, their on-screen chemistry clearly made a lasting effect and impressed Netflix bosses.

The insider added: ‘They were perfect for Love Is Blind UK, but still had competition from famous couples, including Marvin and Rochelle Humes.’

Emma and Matt recently revealed their 15-year marriage is stronger than ever after they overcame ‘rocky patches’ during their relationship.

And after being asked what the secret behind their long-lasting union was, Emma, quipped: ‘We quite like each other still as well, which helps!’

Netflix hasn’t revealed too many details, but it is being produced by the same company as Married at First Sight UK, so drama is almost guaranteed.

Filming will reportedly begin later this year, with the first series of Love is Blind UK set to land on screens in 2024.

While all three explosive seasons of Love is Blind US have been hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Netflix confirmed that the UK version will have its own British hosts.

Love is Blind UK will follow the same format as the US version: a number of single men and women date in purpose-built pods with the hope of finding a connection.

Once engaged, the couples meet for the first time in person, before heading off on a retreat to discover whether they can turn their emotional connection into a physical one.

Back home, the couples move in together and plan their weddings, which are just four weeks away. But will they say ‘I do’?

MailOnline has contacted Netflix and representatives of Emma and Matt Willis for comment.
