Emmerdale: Gabby is left devastated as Nicky drops a HUGE bombshell

Emmerdale’s Gabby Thomas has become the village’s unluckiest bride, as her fiancé Nicky dropped a huge bombshell on their wedding day.

After struggling with the prospect of their sham wedding, Nicky finally came to clean to Gabby mere minutes before they were due to walk down the aisle, confessing that he was gay in Tuesday’s episode.

Nicky has been embroiled in his father Caleb’s shocking revenge scheme, and proposed to Gabby as part of a plan to access Home Farm’s finances.

In the episode, the torn groom was stunned by his boyfriend Ally’s surprise proposal, while a smug Caleb celebrated his plan, which was still going smoothly.

As Gabby was preparing to leave in her wedding dress, Nicky discovered Ally among the guests, and dragged him away.

Later, in Thomas’s bedroom, Nicky found Gabby and she made the surprise suggestion that he could adopt her son Thomas.

The shock idea finally pushed Nicky to come to clean and say he couldn’t go through with the wedding.

When Gabby tried to assure him that it was just pre-wedding nerves, he confessed that he was gay, leaving the episode on a shocking cliffhanger.

How will Gabby react to Nicky’s bombshell? 

In the upcoming episodes, Caleb panics when he hears Nicky has pulled out of the wedding and confronting his son, punches him hard in the face. 

Nicky is stunned his dad is casting him adrift, when Caleb orders Nicky to take the fall when he empties the Home Farm accounts. 

Realising the Home Farm accounts have already been emptied, Caleb’s façade slips when he’s confronted by an angry Kim…

The dramatic scenes are setting the stage for a shock whodunnit next week, as the villagers all unite against Caleb during a tense altercation in the pub.

Squaring up to them all Caleb takes verbal pot shots at each of them. Exasperated with the spectacle, Chas throws him out whilst the others glare bloody murder. 

Caleb walks away but unbeknownst to Caleb, a mystery figure pursues him. That evening, out on a woodland ridge, Caleb’s blindsided when the unknown figure rushes out and pushes him over the edge – his lifeless body sprawls on the ground below.

Back in the village, a number of suspicious characters all return from mysterious outings.

Under a peaceful Yorkshire view, Caleb’s body lies lifeless at the bottom of the ridge – who pushed him remains unclear.
