Emmerdale is set for a huge scheduling shake-up next week and furious fans took to social media on Thursday to air their frustration.
On October 10, the ITV soap will be replaced by football as England take on Greece in the UEFA Nations League Live.
However, the news has not gone down well with fans as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their frustration over the ongoing Tom King and Belle Dingle abuse storyline.
On Thursday evening, Moira Dingle came close to exposing Tom for his stalking and abuse towards Belle.
However, fans will now have to go without their hour fix, as the Yorkshire-based soap, which usually runs on weekdays at 7:30pm, with hour-long episodes on Thursdays, will not be airing.

One furious fan said: ‘I don’t know if I can take this storyline anymore’; ‘I’m not watching #Emmerdale until this is resolved. The way they have ruined this storyline is unbelievable. I actually can’t watch it makes me so annoyed’; ‘OH FOR GODS SAKE!’
The latest developments saw Belle attack Tom with an axe after enduring months of abuse.
However, once again, Tom had used his manipulative techniques, telling her he wouldn’t inform the police that she was behind the attack if she dropped the abuse allegations.
Tom then lied to the police, telling them it was two random men who had attacked him with viewers left fearing he may be framing fan favourites Cain and Aaron for the attacks.
However, at the end of the episode Belle revealed the truth and handed in the weapon.
While speaking to the police she said: ‘I’ve attacked my husband in self-defence, he wanted to kill me, I’m a victim of domestic abuse.’
Thursday evening’s episode saw Belle’s sister-in-law Moira Dingle come very close to exposing Tom, as the infamous iPad, with evidence of him stalking Belle coming into her hands.
Moira found the footage Belle needed to expose Tom, however, a huge twist was in store.

Just as Moira went to reveal all, she became unwell and suffered a seizure, amid her brain tumour diagnosis.
And when Belle found Moira, she’d forgotten about the iPad and what she’d seen and had become unaware of the iPad or its importance.
The storyline seemed to enrage viewers on X as they took to the site to rant.
One fan exclaimed: ‘I was shouting at tv in frustration!!’; ‘Stopped watching it after half an hour. Why didn’t Moira just phone the police to retrieve the tablet?’
‘Why didn’t Mac & Matty put two & two together when Belle told them Moira saw important footage and she just so happens to have a tablet and doesn’t know where its come from?’
