Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter is rumoured to be engaged with her secret boyfriend of three years.

The actress, 47, who plays Chas Dingle in the ITV soap, shared a clip to Instagram on Friday showcasing a new huge diamond ring on her wedding finger.

Sharing a video of her unwrapping a new painting, the new piece of jewellery was put on full display when she teared back the pink tissue paper.

Lucy has not officially announced that she is set to tie the knot, and continues to keep the identity of her current partner a secret since parting way with her ex Rudi Coleano.

Chatting on the podcast The Heal Is Real in 2022, she revealed: ‘I’m in a new relationship now. Exclusive. Don’t say anything.’

MailOnline has contacted Lucy’s representatives for comment.

Lucy, who has played Chas Dingle in the ITV soap since 2002, shares three daughters with Rudi, Lola, 18 and seven-year-old twins Betsy and Missy, who were conceived through IVF.

Lucy and Rudi confirmed the news of their split in a statement to Digital Spy, 12 years after first confirming their engagement in 2019.

A spokesperson said at the time: ‘Lucy Pargeter has confirmed she has separated from her long term partner Rudi Coleano and while no longer together their main priority is raising their three daughters.’

Lucy and Rudi came close to marrying in 2012, but opted against it for fear of upsetting their friends.

Speaking to The Sun at the time, Lucy said: ‘We were in Dubai about a month ago and we said: “Sod it, while we’re here, let’s do it”.

‘Then I thought all our mates would be like, “Oh cheers, thanks for the invite”.’

Lucy and Rudi welcomed their twins in 2017 following two rounds of IVF, after struggling to conceive for 11 years.

The star previously spoke candidly about her struggles in having another child, as she told OK! Magazine she was expecting twins.

Lucy said: ‘Ever since Lola, we’ve been trying for 11 years and now we’re expecting twins!

‘We thought if it happens, it happens. But it never did.

‘We just thought I was too stressed out with work or a house renovation.

‘We never had any concerns about secondary infertility [the inability to fall pregnant after already giving birth to one or more children] because we had Lola so easily after six months of being together.’
