Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas gives a glimpse inside his Cheshire mansion as the property undergoes renovations – after forced closure of his restaurant

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas gave fans a glimpse inside his huge Cheshire mansion on Friday as he continued to renovate the property. 

The actor, 34, and his wife Caroline have been documenting the transformation of their family home on a deadicated Instagram account. 

The couple have been busy stripping walls at the property which comes following the closure of Adam’s once popular restaurant, The Spinn.

Alongside a photo of the dining room, Caroline penned: ‘I feel like we don’t have any pretty things to post! We’re in that weird stage where it’s one step forward, two steps back!

‘Plaster dust EVERYWHERE!!! But I just keep thinking if Christmas…and where our tree is going to go!! 

‘Doesn’t anyone else do that!?As you all know I LOVE Christmas so I’m just looking forward to then! Small progress every day, into making our house a home.’

In other photos shared to their Stories, Caroline showed a space in the kitchen where the oven used to be and a black and white image of the new wall paper. 

Meanwhile, Adam took to his account as he joked that he would have to ‘sell the place to afford a window cleaner’ due to the mansions many windows.

It comes after Adam announced the shock closure of his restaurant The Spinn in Gatley, Manchester.

Following reports the once popular venue had been boarded up, the actor, confirmed the news to MEN, thanking all his customers.

Adam, alongside business partner Scott Graham, opened the business back in 2019, followed by a bar and burger sauce company. 

He said: ‘Unfortunately we have decided to close The Spinn. We did what we had to do with The Spinn and we learnt so much building our first venture and more importantly we had an absolute blast’.

‘But after 3 years we felt the time was right for us to move on. We are now focusing on the next chapter of The Spinn… The Spinn off [bar] and Oh My Glaze [burger sauce company]’.

He added: ‘Thanks again to everyone who has supported us along the way and continues to support us and to all our staff who we will continue to take on this journey with us.’ 

Speaking about the venture back in 2019 Adam told I Love Manchester: ‘We’ve [himself and pal Scott] been wanting to do this for years, even when we were at school we talked about opening our own place’.
