England fans can treat themselves to a free drink with special phrase at Greene King pubs across the nation

Football fever is almost upon us, with Euro 2024 kicking-off later this week on Friday – as Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army will get the tournament underway against hosts Germany on Friday, June 14.

Friday not only marks the beginning of Euro 2024 but it also kick starts a summer of pints, football and beer gardens.

Nothing screams a European Championship summer like enjoying a cold pint in one of the UK’s many beer gardens.

Pubs from Friday onwards will certainly see an influx in customers as football fans flock to their nearest pubs to hopefully witness England ‘bring football home’. 

To make things even more exciting, fans can get their hands on a free pint before Scotland vs Germany – they just have to say a secret phrase…  

England fans will be able to pick up a free drink between 6pm to 7pm by heading into participating Greene King pubs

To mark the opening game against Scotland and Germany, Greene King will be offering football fans the opportunity to grab a free drink from 6pm to 7pm on the day.

All you have to do to claim your free drink is simply head into participating Greene King pubs and say the secret phrase.

Simply utter the words ‘For Pub and Country’ at the selected bars to earn your free drink. 

There are 800 pubs across the UK taking part, so the likelihood of your local dishing one out is fairly high, with the pub company and brewer’s having locations in England, Scotland, and Wales.

For those of you who don’t enjoy a pint, there are other free drinks up for grabs. Customers can choose from a variety of drink options, including pints of Greene King’s Level Head and Flint Eye, as well as ciders, spirits, and soft drinks.

Ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard has put his support behind the promotion, revealing that he will be getting behind England this summer at his local.
