Chris Hemsworth flew from Sydney to Byron Bay via a private jet on Saturday.
And after spending just one day in the NSW coastal town, the 37-year-old chartered a private jet back to the state’s capital on Sunday.
The actor, his wife Elsa Pataky and their children was seen boarding a plane for their one-hour flight back to Sydney instead of opting to do the eight-hour drive.

Chris dressed casually for the flight in a blue Sea Shepherd singlet and black shorts.
Sea Shepherd is a marine conservation organisation that fights to protect marine life from illegal fishing, plastic pollution and the effects of climate change.
The actor teamed the outfit with a white hat and comfortable sneakers for the short flight.

Despite his penchant for private flights, Chris is also known to be a climate change activist.
He recently marched alongside his daughter India Rose in a strike at Byron Bay in 2019, calling for action on the issue.
In an Instagram post at the time, the Avengers star shared a clip of himself carrying young India in crowd shouting: ‘What do we want? Climate action. When do we want it? Now.’
He also wrote in a lengthy post that we must, ‘move away from the burning of fossil fuels, no more new oil, gas, coal projects’.

Chris added: ‘The climate crisis is upon us. Children understand the basic science that if we continue to pollute the planet climate change will worsen and they won’t have a future. None of us will. The planet will die’.
In October 2020, he joined Priyanka Chopra for a special session of TED Countdown, where he discussed the climate crisis.

Chris has been working on new marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney and is also rumoured to be producing Elsa’s forthcoming film, Interceptor.
Prior to travelling home for the weekend, Chris and Elsa enjoyed a night at the footy cheering on Russell Crowe’s beloved Rabbitohs.
At the game on Friday, where the Sydney Rabbitohs battled the Sydney Roosters, the couple joined the likes of Isla Fisher, Natalie Portman and Jeff Goldblum in a private box.
Also in the box were Thor director Taika Waititi, actress Tessa Thompson and Idris Elba’s wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba.
