Erik ten Hag has hit back at Jamie Carragher after the Sky Sports pundit delivered a brutal five-minute dissection of Manchester United’s defensive weaknesses on Monday Night Football.
United suffered their 10th Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday when Fulham won 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher spent some time picking apart United’s problems and pointed the finger of blame for the disorganisation at Ten Hag and his coaching team.
But speaking ahead of United’s trip to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday, Ten Hag hit back.
‘First of all, some analysts are very objective in their comments, with very good advice. Some are very subjective,’ Ten Hag said.
‘Jamie Carragher from the first moment on has criticised and now he wants to make his point.
‘Probably in the first half an hour, yeah, he had a point. Fulham in their midfield set up surprised us a little bit and then we have to find the solutions.
‘After half an hour we found the solutions.’
