Erika-Jayne, 51, linked to recently arrested lawyer Jim Wilkes, 72

Erika Jayne could be moving on from disgraced estranged husband Tom Girardi as she stepped out with recently-arrested lawyer Jim Wilkes II in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The RHOBH star, 51, whose former lawyer ex Girardi, 83, was recently indicted for allegedly stealing $18million from clients, stepped out at Caesar’s Palace with Wilkes, 72, who is facing criminal charges after firing two shots inside his house during a domestic dispute with an unknown woman last month.

Erika-Jayne, who is in Sin City ahead of a residency at the House of Blues, looked stylish in a graphic print sweater paired with red latex leggings and stiletto heels as she strolled with Wilkes – who was a long running associate of her ex Girardi.

Wilkes, who specializes in suing nursing homes on behalf of abused residents, looked cool in a leather jacket, tee and jeans as he walked beside Erika in the photo obtained by Blonde Hair Black Heart podcaster Blake Adam Sunday..

There is confusion around Wilkes’ marital status – he filed for divorce from his wife Jessica Collins in March 2021 but posted a photo with her on Tuesday, showing the pair cozying up and captioned: ‘My wife and me. Having a nice moment.’

The US Sun reports he was been helping Erika with her financial woes amid the divorce and allegedly sent her almost $500,000 according to court documents.

Court documents previously obtained by the outlet read: ‘Erika filed a summary judgment motion to get herself out of the case, and in response, the law firm noted that Erika was receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars for her legal fees from an attorney named James Lewis Wilkes, II, via Wilkes’ law firm.’

He describes himself on Instagram as: ‘US Army ‘69-72 Vietnam Vet songwriter, music publisher, lawyer, elder advocate, world champion boxing manager, political consultant, humanitarian.’

Wilkes is facing criminal charges after the incident with a gun last month.

The Tampa Bay Times reports Wilkes claimed the unnamed woman had hit him in the head, causing him to grab a handgun due to fears she would take it.

The woman is said to have been heard shouting in the background that Wilkes ‘pulled a gun on her and shot a wall.’

Wilkes said as the argument continued he fired one round from the handgun into a the bed and another into a bathroom wall to scare the woman and stop the row, the report states. He claims to not have not aimed the gun at the woman.

The woman claimed to police that she hit Wilkes and afterwards he fired into the bed and wall, before putting the gun to her temple and then her torso and threatening to kill her, the report also states. Wilkes has denied the allegations.

The woman told police she hit Wilkes and that, after he fired into the bed and wall, he put the gun to her temple and then her torso and threatened to kill her, according to the report. Wilkes denied that.

Wilkes’ attorney Ronald Kurpiers II told the publication: ‘He was attacked, and he was defending himself. That’s the extent of it.’

DailyMail.com has contacted Erika Jayne’s representatives for comment.

Girardi was recently indicted for allegedly stealing $18million from clients including the grieving families of victims of the 2018 Lion Air crash.

Girardi is already facing a mountain of civil litigation over claims he stole money from his law firm.

Earlier this month, he was indicted by grand juries in Chicago and L.A. on allegations of stealing $3million from the plane crash victims, and an additional $15million from other clients. Prosecutors say he stole the money to pay exorbitant American Express bills and membership fees for two country clubs.

Girardi is charged in Los Angeles federal court with wire fraud for allegedly stealing more than $18 million from clients that included an Arizona widow whose husband was killed in boat accident, a Los Angeles couple injured in a car wreck that paralyzed their son and a man who was severely burned in the 2010 San Bruno gas pipeline explosion. He had not a guilty plea entered on his behalf by United States Magistrate Judge Karen L. Stevenson on Monday.

He and Erika Jayne are estranged, but have not yet finalized their divorce. She filed for divorce in 2020.

Girardi’s alleged theft and fraud came to light back in 2020, the same year that Jayne filed for divorce from the disgraced lawyer. The divorce has yet to be officially finalized.
