Erling Haaland joined in with Manchester City supporters revelling in the final minutes of their derby win over arch rivals Man United by recreating their celebration on the pitch.

The City striker sealed three crucial points in the Premier League title race by scoring his side’s third goal in stoppage time after pouncing on a mistake by United.

Haaland rolled his shot past Andre Onana into the bottom corner to complete City’s turnaround and loved the celebrations going on inside a raucous Etihad.

City fans doing their famous Poznan dance by jumping up and down with backs to pitch were matched by Haaland who briefly recreated the dance.

The 23-year-old was delighted as he watched City fans antagonise United supporters in the away section by doing the Poznan while walking back towards the halfway line.

Haaland lifted both arms into the air and momentarily jumped off the ground in time with celebrating fans bouncing around in the stands.

Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana can be seen trudging back towards his goal after conceding the game’s fourth goal as the visitor’s capitulated.

Erik ten Hag’s team took an early lead in the match after Marcus Rashford’s stunning long-range rocket inside the opening 10 minutes stunned City.

United maintained their advantage for the entirety of the first half before Phil Foden struck with a super finish into the top corner in the 56th minute.

The City and England star fired the hosts in-front with another pinpoint finish in the 80th minute before Haaland got in on the action during stoppage time.

Having scuffed a glaring chance earlier in the game, Haaland kept his cool after Rodri dispossessed Sofyan Amrabat before playing in the Norwegian.

Haaland kept his cool to bend his shot around Onana who had previously denied him throughout the game. 

Posting a picture of himself doing the Poznan in a post on his X account after the game, Haaland simply stated: ‘Manchester is blue’.

City fans loved his interaction and heaped praise on the striker in a flurry of online posts, with one reading: ‘Haaland asking the South Stand to start the Poznan probably the highlight of the match.’

Another added: ‘Haaland doing the Poznan on the pitch I love him so much.’

A third post read: ‘And I’m meant to believe he’s off to Madrid’ alongside a laughing emoji.

Haaland’s goal against United was his sixth in the derby fixture and 18th in the Premier League this season.
