Eshays arrested over alleged Maserati and Jeep theft from Woodside Petroleum’s Meg O’Neill in Perth

Three eshays allegedly photographed themselves in front of a luxury car they are accused of stealing from the mansion home of an energy company’s CEO.

The trio – one wearing eshay-trademark red Nike TN sneakers – allegedly took the selfie in front of a blue Maserati Ghibli owned by Woodside Energy CEO Meg O’Neill.

Police allege the three men broke into her home in Perth’s City Beach and made off with the prestige $150,000 3-litre V6 and the family’s $60,000 black Jeep Cherokee.

The gang were also alleged to be linked to the theft of an Audi sedan stolen in Brabham two days earlier on January 8.

The Jeep was involved in a crash hours later just before midday on Tuesday, and the driver Adam Dion Prior, 30, taken to hospital as a precaution. 

He was later ordered back to prison after he was found to be a released prisoner who was a ‘high risk to the community’, sparking a police operation.

The Rapid High Harm Offender Response Team raided two addresses in Perth at Mount Lawley and Bayswater where the stolen Audi was allegedly found, with the Maserati located abandoned on the Kiwana freeway at Baldivis.

The investigation also discovered the photograph showing the three men allegedly posing in front of the Maserati.

The men are all wearing signature eshay-style clothing of designer-branded sports gear and baseball caps, with their faces clearly visible, .

Three men aged 30, 27 and 24 have now been arrested and charged over the car thefts.

Woodside Energy is Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company, worth $68billion, and ranks in Australia’s top ten companies and among the 1500 biggest public companies in the world.

Ms O’Neill was appointed CEO in August 2021 after previously working with Exxon in Texas. It’s not known if she was at home at the time of the alleged theft.

Prior, from Mount Lawley, has been charged with three counts of stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary and stealing, WA Police told Daily Mail Australia

He is also facing charges of reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, failing to stop, and no authority to drive. He appeared in court on January 11.

The two other men are next due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on February 8.

The 24-year-old from Westminster faces three charges of car theft, two counts of stealing and one count of aggravated home burglary.

The 27-year-old from Wickepin is charged with two counts of car theft, two counts of stealing and one charge of of aggravated home burglary.
