The former partner of rock star Daniel Johns broke down in tears in court as she faced charges of stealing thousands of dollars in cash and vandalising a bookshelf.
Fashion designer Estelita Huijer fronted court on Friday accused of stealing between $5000 and $15,000 in cash from celebrity restaurateur Andrew Becher.
She is also alleged to have scrawled permanent marker on a bookshelf while at his Point Piper home on Thursday in Sydney’s east.
Waverley Local Court documents show Huijer is charged with property damage and stealing from a home as well as breaching an apprehended domestic violence order imposed for Mr Becher’s protection after a separate incident in 2023.
Mr Becher is the owner of trendy Sydney eastern suburb eateries Franca, Parlar and Armorica.
In granting bail at Friday’s hearing, Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge gave a sobbing Huijer a dressing down, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.
‘You breach any of these conditions, you have any contact with him again, bail will be taken off you,’ Ms Milledge said.
‘This constitutes a very serious breach of the order and it’s an indication that it’s escalating, and you’re becoming more desperate.’
Under her strict bail conditions Huijer was not to contact Mr Becher and to report to police once a day.

She also must stay at her home in Bondi Beach and not enter the nearby suburbs of Point Piper, Edgecliff, or Kings Cross.
Huijer also cannot consume alcohol or drugs unless prescribed and police can test for compliance.
When approached outside Waverley police station Huijer said the charges had been ‘manipulated’ and she would strongly defend them.
A day before her arrest Huijer was seen on social media enjoying a meal at Potts Point seafood restaurant Harry’s Singapore Chilli Crab with fellow socialite Imogen Anthony.
Huijer dated Johns for approximately four years from 2012.

The former Silverchair frontman told News Corp in 2015 that Huijer was ‘totally’ his muse but but not in the same way that Yoko Ono was for former Beatle John Lennon.
‘If I am going to listen to something 10 times a day for three years, you would hope that the person that’s living in the house doesn’t mind hearing it,’ he said.
Mr Becher has been a star on the Sydney hospitality scene for well over a decade.
His ritzy Double Bay restaurant and bar Pelicano was a magnet for celebrities such as Ed Sheeran, Gerard Butler, James Blunt and Mel Gibson but was forced to shut in 2016 because of what Mr Becher described as a ‘hostile takeover’ from its landlord.
Huijer is scheduled to next face Downing Centre Local Court on August 14.
